Genetta Sue Collins

GLASGOW – Genetta Sue (Blakely) Collins, age 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. Genetta was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 5, 1961, a daughter of the late Kenneth Raymond and Mary Leavene (Davis) Blakely. She loved being around kids, and her granddaughter Lily was her “something special”.

Genetta is survived by her husband, Stevie Joe Collins, Sr.; daughter, Beth Collins; granddaughter, Lily Mae Collins Frost, and her fiancé, Spencer Owsley. Two brothers, Wayland Blakely and wife Linda, and Jeff Blakely and wife Donna; three sisters, Shelia Blakely of Lexington, Kathy Davis of Louisville, and Patricia Whitehead and husband Stevie Lee of Eminence, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Stevie Joe Collins, Jr.; sister Barbara Cook; brother Terry Blakely; father-in-law, Bucky Collins; brothers-in-law, Seymour Collins and Doug Davis; and son-in-law, Michael Frost.

Memorial Service will be 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, and her remains will be buried at Harlans Crossroads Cemetery. Dr Jerry Neal Bean will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lily Collins Frost.
