Radford Reed
EDMONTON – Radford Edward Reed, 88, passed away peacefully at his residence on March 10, 2026. He was born on October 31, 1937, in Edmonton, Kentucky, to Radford and Jewell Garrett Reed.Edward’s life was marked by his commitment to his family and community. On June 2, 1956, he married the love of his life, Marjorie Brown Reed and together they raised four children. Throughout his career, Edward not only dedicated himself to farming but also served his community as a school bus driver for several years with the Metcalfe County Schools. He had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures, particularly in the joy of watching his children and grandchildren engage in sports.
He is survived by his wife, Majorie Reed of Edmonton; four children, Steve (Alicia) Reed, Danny (Janet) Reed, Ronnie (Laura) Reed all of Edmonton, and Russ (Allison) Reed of Glasgow; grandchildren, Matt (Mattie) Reed, Jonathan (Kelly) Reed, Ashley (Nick) Firkins, Brittany Reed (Justin Graves), Nathaniel Reed, Jerrica (Christian) Stanley, Annika Reed, Danielle Nunn, and Olivia Nunn; great-grandchildren, Marley and Molly Reed, Jake and Nash Firkins, Sutton and Salem Graves.
Funeral services for Edward Reed will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Edmonton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and after 8:00 AM on Friday until time of the service at the funeral home.
