Luke Edward Taylor

GLASGOW – Luke Edward Taylor, 72, passed away March 8, 2026, suddenly at TJ Samson Hospital. He was the son of the late William Edward Taylor and Delicie Colbert Taylor. He was a bus (67) driver for Barren County School System for many years. He enjoyed front porch sitting and waving at whom ever would wave back. He had a knack for making people laugh and tinkering in his garage.

He is survived by three children, Delicie “Dee” Wheat (David), Rickey Taylor (Amanda), Jessica Portman (Billy), and Michael Portman (Anna); six grandchildren, Brandon, Seth, Gavin, Jolynn, Leland, and Morgan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Armes Taylor, and a son, Chad Alan Taylor.

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Visitation will begin after 1:30 pm on Thursday.
