Charles Massey, Jr.

NOBOB – Charles Massey, Jr., age 65, of Barren County, KY, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Charles was born January 2, 1961, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Charles Albert Massey, Sr. and Patricia Kerbe.

Charles was a member of the FOP lodge #4 society of Baltimore and the Benevolent Association. He was a retired police officer and was previously employed by the Metcalfe County Sheriff’s office.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Albert Massey III and Jack Massey; two daughters, Katheryn Massey and Amelia Massey; nieces, Victoria Castro and Amaya Massey; and fiancé, Michele Appler.

In keeping with Charles’ wishes, cremation was chosen, and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Rd. Summer Shade, KY 42166. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. All times are Central Standard Time.
