Butler County Fiscal Court held its regular meeting on January 12, 2026. All magistrates were in attendance.
Eric Sexton and Brooke Edwards from BRADD attended the meeting to speak about the Anchor Project. Sexton explained that the Anchor Project will be a Mental Health, Life Learning Center, and Drug Intake facility, located in Bowling Green. The Kentucky General Assembly allocated $20 million for the building, and Lifeskills donated 6 acres of land to be used. This will be a regional facility. Each county in the BRADD area received opioid settlement money. BRADD asked for a donation of support to the Anchor Project from the Fiscal Court. The Fiscal Court did not make a decision at this time. Butler County was awarded $272,000 of Opioid Money that will be paid to Butler County over time.
