Betty Jean Jenkins

GLASGOW – Betty Jean Jenkins, 64, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at her residence. She was born on April 27, 1961, in Tompkinsville, KY, to the late Bemis and Mamie Irene Lynn Rhoton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene “Bobby” Jenkins.

Mrs. Jenkins enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and she also enjoyed watching TLC and cooking shows.

Survivors include three children, Angela Smith (Fiancé Bobby Perkins) of Evarts, KY, Bobbi Marlowe (Ken) of Glasgow, KY, and Steven Murley of Celina, TN; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Junior Glendale Rhoton of Wabash, IN and Willie Randall Rhoton (Gretta Faye) of Summer Shade, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dustin Eugene Jenkins, and eight siblings, Doris, Stanley, Kenneth, Ronnie, and Annie Lou Rhoton, Dorothy York, Connie Britt, and Peggy Broner.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 23, 2026, at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery in Tennessee. Visitation will be after 10:00 am on Friday at McMurtrey Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
