A Blood Assurance blood drive was held Monday at Morgantown City Hall, giving residents an opportunity to donate blood to support area hospitals and patients. The Blood Assurance bloodmobile was set up at 117 North Main Street and welcomed donors throughout the day.

The drive was part of National Blood Donor Month, an annual observance held each January to raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood donations, particularly during the winter months when supplies can run low.

“National Blood Donor Month is an important reminder that blood is needed every day, not just during emergencies,” a Blood Assurance representative said. “Even a single donation can help save multiple lives right here in our community.”

Blood Assurance serves hospitals throughout the region, with donations staying local to help ensure a reliable blood supply for medical treatments and emergency situations.
