On December 2nd, 2025, the Butler County Library had a very special visitor, Santa Claus himself!  He arrived to greet all the good little boys and girls a bit early this year, making sure he knew exactly what they were wishing for and checking whether they had been good or bad.

Many children came out with their parents and Santa spent time talking with each child individually, listening to their Christmas wishes. The children were excited to see Santa, though a few were a little nervous at first.  Some even tried a funny little trick, if they sat on his lap without looking at him, they figured Santa wasn’t there.  But with a gentle smile and a soft “Ho, ho, ho,” Santa quickly won them over.

After their visit, Santa handed out a small toy and some candy before sending them on their way.  As each child left the library, their excitement grew as they were counting down the days until Santa would come and visit them at their homes.

There is nothing better than seeing the joy in children’s eyes when they spot Santa, talk to him, and proudly tell him that they’ve been good.  They eagerly shared what they would love to find under the tree this Christmas, everything from skateboards and baby dolls to trucks and, most popularly, electronic game systems.  But more than anything, each child was simply happy to be there, soaking in the magic of the moment.

The Butler County Banner wishes that all their wishes come true this year!
