Fiscal Court Declares November 9-15 as Nurse Practitioner Week

The Edmonson County Fiscal Court was held on November 10, 2025. All magistrates were present. Judge Executive Scott Lindsey declared November 9-15 Nurse Practitioner Week.
In the Road Report, Joe Montgomery stated that the road crew has been working on ditching and preparing the snow trucks for winter weather. There are several pieces of equipment that need repairs.
The Emergency Management report was given by Terry Massey. Massey stated that there had been 22 runs in the county in the last two weeks.
The Sheriff’s report was given by Judge Lindsey, who read a statement by the Sheriff’s Department saying they had 532 runs.
The Jailer’s report was given by Jailer Todd Vincent, who stated there are currently 12 inmates in Hart County Jail.
County Clerk Kevin Alexander reported that filings for offices have begun and will continue until January 9, 2026.

Parks and Rec was given by Director Cody Stewart. Halloween on the Square was a success, with between 1,500 to 1,800 people attending. Little League basketball is beginning.
Committee reports: TJ Massey stated he had secured blueprints for the renderings on the courthouse but needs to submit them to the committee.
The Fiscal Court approved to reimburse Michael Minton for tuition to obtain his CDL in the amount of $2,250, approved Ethan Meredith’s employment status at E-911 to full-time, approved the reappointment of Mike Stoyonovich to the BRADD Board of Directors for a three year term, and approved to pay MasterCard credit card bill online for November payment due to holidays possible delaying mail delivery.
The Fiscal Court approved the Resolution EC25-32 application for FEMA Disaster-DR4860 for the February flood, which will cover Willie Webb Bridge, Mouth of Bear Creek, and the Hwy 70 bridge. The Fiscal Court then approved the Resolution EC25-33 application for FEMA Disaster-DR4864, for the April flood, which covers road repairs and repatches.
The old Beaver Dam Chapel Road abandoned right-of-way was approved, and the property will revert to the property owners.
The Fiscal Court approved the Treasurer’s October monthly fees.
The Fiscal Court approved the following pending final audit: Sheriff’s October Monthly Fees account, County Clerk’s October MVAV Collection report, County Clerk’s October Excess Fee report, County Clerk’s October Deed Transfer report, and County Clerk’s Delinquent Tax Collection report. The Fiscal Court acknowledged the County Clerk’s October Document Storage Fee pending final audit.
The Fiscal Court acknowledged the October Dog Control CAD and BGWC October Shelter Director’s report.
Fiscal Court was then adjourned. The next meeting will be on November 24, 2025, at 4:00pm in the upstairs courtroom.
