Louella A. Cassady
EDMONTON – Louella A. Harris Cassady died peacefully, with family by her side, on November 7th of 2025. She had reached the age of 91 years and 8 months.She was the wife of Arnold Cassady and mother of 2 sons, Michael (Butch) Cassady and his wife Renee, and L. David Cassady and his wife, Terri. She was “Ma” to 2 grandchildren, Micah Thompson and her husband, Darren, and Alex Cassady. She was also “Ma” to 2 step granddaughters, April Taylor and her husband, Casey, and Eris Anne Smith. With her grandchildren’s union came 5 great-grandchildren who also called her “Ma,” Lynzee Cassady (Zayne), Myles Cassady (Ally), Rinoa Cassady, Cassady Thompson, and Elodie Taylor. She continued the title of “Ma” to the 4th generation of Cassady’s, adding 3 great-great-grandchildren to the family, Emberlyn, Enzley, and Brooks. She said many times, “My cup runneth over.”
Louella was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Arnold Cassady. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Salmon Harris, and all her siblings, including 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Inez Stricker, Louise Easter, Joe L Harris, and H.B. (Jr.) Harris. She was also preceded in death by her much-beloved grandson, Nathan Cassady.
Louella was formally a factory worker and homemaker, but her favorite pastime, besides family, was singing for the Lord. Her and Arnold spent many years traveling to churches, near and far, singing gospel music with many different group members along the way. They made many lasting friendships with Christians around the country and spent a big part of their lives doing what they loved. Louella was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home in Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Pink Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and continue after 8:00 AM Sunday morning until time for the service at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home.
