Alice Roberta Lane

HORSE CAVE – Alice Roberta Lane, age 86, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at Signature Health Care of Hart County with her loving family by her side. She was a native of Metcalfe County and a member of Joyners Chapel Church. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, and being with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Robert P. Lane. She is also preceded in death by one son, Brent Lane; two daughters, Freda Lane and Jenny Hearld (Donnie); her parents, John and Ruby Harlow; two brothers, George Harlow and Phil Harlow; and one sister, Jean Tucker.

She is survived by two daughters, Carol Sturgeon (Edward) and Deborah Tutor (David Paige); one brother, Stan Harlow (Pat); one sister, Dottie Welshire; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Winn Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Lane Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and will continue after 9:00 AM on Friday until the time of the service.
