Chester Byron Mills

GLASGOW – Chester Byron Mills, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. A native of Hiseville, he was the son of the late Chester and Pauline Parker Mills.

He was a retired master mechanic at SKF in Glasgow with 40 years of service. He was actively involved with tractor pulling and was a member of the Southern Kentucky Hot Rod Association. He was a fan of NASCAR and was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a member of the Hiseville Masonic Lodge and the Rolling Hills United Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; one son, Bobby Mills; one daughter, Ashley Mills; three grandchildren, Taylor, Dakota, and Bentley; five great-grandchildren, Leonitas, Leighton, Lincoln, Titus, and Samson; close friends, Kathy and Steve Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Mills, and all of his siblings, Billy Joe Mills, J.B. Mills, Howard Mills, Joyce Humphrey, Margie Pruitt, and Wilma Thompson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
