Obituary – Anna Louise Covetts Cohron passed away

Anna Louise Covetts Cohron, known affectionately to friends and family as Louise, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Born on Monday, December 3, 1934, in Lewisport, Kentucky, Louise’s life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication, woven through 90 remarkable years.

Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wallace Cohron, her parents, Allan and Mary Lewis Sipes Covetts, and her siblings, Abbie Covetts, Billy Covetts, Faye Bittel, Betty Voyles, Mary Covetts, and Dorothy Emmick, as well as her sister-in-laws Esther McCoy and Marvine Cohron. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her loving family, including her children, Annette Moore (Jerry) of Bowling Green, KY, and Todd Cohron (Becky) of Morgantown, KY. She was a proud grandmother to three grandsons, Christian and Ethan Moore of Bowling Green, KY, and Spencer Cohron of Morgantown, KY. Louise is also survived by her sister, Sue Allen of Lewisport, KY, sister-in-laws Iris Faye Covetts and Joyce Covetts, both of Lewisport, KY, and several nieces and nephews.

Louise’s life was marked by her unwavering faith, she was a member of Richland Missionary Baptist Church. Her professional life included 13 dedicated years working at GE in Owensboro, after which she embraced the role of homemaker. Louise’s creativity and love for her family shone brightly through her interests. She found joy in making Halloween outfits, a tradition that brought smiles to many faces. Her culinary skills were unmatched, especially when it came to her famous pecan rolls, which were a much-anticipated treat.

Traveling was one of Louise’s passions, and she cherished the opportunity to explore new places, and she enjoyed attending the Gaither Concerts. Above all, Louise’s greatest pleasure was spending time with her family, particularly her grandsons.

Funeral services will be held at the Jones Funeral Chapel Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11:00am with Bro Gary Oberhausen and Bro. Alton Crowe officiating. Burial will be in the Tuck Cemetery where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held of Friday, March 7, 2025 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am until funeral time at 11:00am at the Jones Funeral Chapel.
