Tommy Lane Compton

EIGHTY EIGHT – Tommy Lane Compton, 65, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was the son of the late James “Pen” Compton and Dessie Louise Compton Dile. He was a veteran and a Deputy Sheriff with the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie J. Compton; three sons, James Compton, Jonathan Lane Compton (Gayla), and Geoffrey Compton (Sandra); eleven grandchildren, Autumn Knight, Abigail Feese, Keelin Reynolds, Carson Long, Claire Long, Hunter Compton, Micah Compton, Jozalin Compton, Grayson Compton, Leah Compton, and Dylan Compton; one great-grandson, Justin Chapman; three brothers, Jimmy K. Dile (Jennifer), Kevin Dile (Arlene), and Stevie Dile; one sister, Kathy Harper (Chris); step-father, Jimmy Dile; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kim Dile; and one sister, Shelia Hardin.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday, February 10, 2025 at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, 2501 N Dixie Blvd, Fort Knox, KY 40121 at 2:30 EST or 1:30 CST. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and after 8:00 am Monday until time for services.
