Henry Thoms “Goat” Byrd

CAVE CITY – Henry Thomas “ Goat” Byrd, 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. He started working at a young age at Strader’s Farm and Dairy and retired from Stockyard Farm and Dairy.

He is survived by his wife, Darleena Byrd; children, Clay Byrd (Carly), Michael Doyle, and Melissa Wilson (Billy); twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; fur baby, Sponge Bob; one brother, Bobby Neal; one sister, Kathy Compton (Sam); several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Byrd; one brother, David Byrd; one sister, Beverly Byrd; one grandson, Carter Doyle.

Funeral will be 1:00 pm Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 am Friday until time for services at the funeral home.
