Gerald Darwin Bailey

RUSSELL SPRINGS – Gerald Darwin Bailey, 74, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024, at his residence. He enjoyed farming and family. He was the son of the late Guy Thomas and Goldie Muriel Eudy Bailey.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Brown Bailey; five children, Wendy Waddle (Terry), Contessa Johnson, Brandey Morgan (Larry), Jason Bailey, and Shallan Bailey; seven grandchildren, Megan Quinn (Will), Paige Kerns (Timmy), Becca Johnson, Brett Young, Cheyenne McGill (Justin), Bailey Lee Holmes, and Rylie Bailey; eight great-grandchildren, Gracin Quinn, Sadie Quinn, Clayton Kerns, Keagan Bowen, Lillian McGill, Auroa Kerns, Mason Bowen, and Jolie Kerns; one sister, Wanda Kidd; two brothers, Ricky Bailey (Janet) and David Bailey (Faye); several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Bailey, Russell Bailey, and Clay Bailey; two sisters: Sarah Francis Bailey and Lauretta Johnson.

Funeral will be 11:00 am Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Bailey Cemetery in Knob Lick, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 8:00 am Saturday until time for services.
