Marsha Gaye DeTalente

CAVE CITY – Marsha Gaye DeTalente, age 59, passed away, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on December 17, 1964, to the late Marshall Logan Smith and JoAnn Logsdon Henderson who still survives. Marsha enjoyed canning with her mom and sister, the company of her dog, Bella, and cat, Tanner, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Travis DeTalente; two sons, Joshua Powell (Lesley) and Jesse Powell (Christa); daughter, Whitney DeTalente; seven grandchildren, Camryn, Jayden, Trenton, Logan, Landon, Novah, and Jensen; one great-grandchild, Kobe; two sisters, Sherry Bennett, and Cathy Page; two stepsisters, Karen Henderson, and Sherry Barr; step-brother, Jimmy Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Aubrey Powell; stepmother, Jaunita Smith; stepfather, James Henderson; grandmother, Mamie Bartley; grandfather, Jesse Logsdon; and stepbrother, Richard Smith.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
