Victor D. Smith

CAVE CITY – Victor D. Smith, age 66, departed this life on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Glenview Health and Rehab in Glasgow, KY. The Allen County native was born on November 12, 1957, to the late William Carl and Bessie Settles Smith. He was preceded in death by his loving companion of thirty-three years, Allene Rowe.

Victor loved farming, most especially in tobacco, and canning fresh garden vegetables. He was an avid UK fan, enjoyed watching RFD-TV and listening to the local trader.

He leaves to honor his memory— his son, Tracy Smith (Mandi) of Fountain Run; grandchildren, Bailey Smith, Chase Smith, Cole Smith and Jhett Smith; his siblings, Roger Smith (Jennett) of Cave City and Connie Parrtett (Glenn) of Louisville; along with several nieces, nephews and Allene’s children and grandchildren that he loved as his own.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Smith; and siblings, Richard, Jimmy, Ronnie, Freddie, Donnie Smith, and Jeaneen Chapman.

Interment will be in Tracy United Methodist Church Cemetery.
