Entertain Glasgow recently wrapped up their free summer concert series with a bang. Both Big Daddy Weave and Meredith Andrews performed at Beaver Trail Park which brought a huge crowd that enjoyed the evening and fellowship during the praise and worship music.
Mary Beth Sallee, who attended the concert with her family, said the evening was one of peace.
“Being there brought about a sense of peace,” Sallee said. “In a time when our nation is in such turmoil, my family and I were able to join together with others, knowing that in the end, God wins.”
This year’s summer concert series began in April with Sundy Best and Dad Bods followed by Drake White and Jobe Fortner in May, and in June, Tyrone Dunn and Bazuka Joe 2.0.
Each event brought in hundreds of attendees who enjoyed community time, on-site food trucks, and family-friendly venues. Entertain Glasgow had additional local support from numerous sponsors that can be found on their Facebook social media page.
Nina Knight, who also attended last week, said the evening was amazing and hopes more similar concerts are in the future.
“What a great night for worship and an amazing opportunity for local communities to fellowship together,” Knight said. “Hopefully, our area will see more of these concerts in the future.”
Both Sallee and Knight as well as others have shared their appreciation that Entertain Glasgow has taken the lead on the summer concert series for the community.
The summer concerts have brought patrons from not only Barren County, but many other surrounding areas as well.
