Doris Lee Lawrence

GLASGOW – Doris Lee Lawrence, 83, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Dorothy Ethel Neal Honeycutt.

She is survived by her husband, James R. Lawrence; six children, Debbie Popplewell, Peggy Engleman (Tim), Barbara Shirley (Alan), Jack Sneed (Tammy), Walter Sneed, and James William Lawrence (Elisha); thirteen grandchildren, Michael, Artie, Andy, Brandi, Taylor, Jacquelyn, Tara Jean, Nichole, Chrissie, Casey, Justin, Kaylee Grace, Kellis, Chastity, Jessica, Brad, and Kyle; two sisters, Jane Weaver (Louis) and Mary Johnson; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimberly Hilligoss; one son-in-law, Mike Popplewell; four brothers, Edward Honeycutt, Eugene Honeycutt, Wayne Honeycutt, and Billy Honeycutt; three sisters, Rose Pemberton, Sue Riddle, and Carolyn Hale.

Funeral will be at 1:00 pm Monday, April 22, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday and after 9:00 am Monday until time for services at the funeral home.
