Carolyn L. Garmmon Shirley

GLASGOW – Carolyn L. Gammon Shirley, 77, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at her residence. She was a daughter of the late James Henry Skaggs and Mamie Basham Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Shirley; three sons, Billy Jerome Gammon, Richard H. Gammon, and Robert Earl Gammon; two step-children, Ben Shirley (Melinda) and Jennifer Greenwell (Russ); several grandchildren including, Jennifer Jones and Christopher Nay (Lesbia); several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra Miller and Carolyn Marie Dugard; two brothers, Jimmy Skaggs and James Skaggs; six sisters, Dorothy Williams, Patty Alvey, Nelda Stevens, Rosetta Guess, Loretta Kitchens, and Janie May Bumpus.

Funeral will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday and after 9:00 am Saturday until time for services.
