A former school employee is set to have a jury trial on Friday, April 12, on child abuse assault charges.
Kendra (Morrison) Tudor was an employee with the after-school program at Hiseville Elementary when she allegedly spanked or struck two children on different occasions.
According to her criminal complaint, one or more witnesses say they saw or heard Tudor spank, threaten, or restrain a child. It also states that “the strike was so loud that everyone in the gym stopped what they were doing to see what happened.”
The complaint also states there is video surveillance of the incident but “obscured somewhat by the bleachers.”
Tudor denied to police any of the incidents happening, however, she is facing two counts of aggravated assault, fourth-degree – child abuse.
The Cabinet substantiated against Tudor in the spring of 2023.
On Monday, April 8, she appeared via Zoom in Barren County District Court for a pretrial conference. An attorney, Alan Simpson, attempted to push Friday’s jury trial out to a later date, but District Judge Gabe Pendleton didn’t favor continuing the case as it has been a year.
Assistant Barren County Attorney Kristina McGinnis said that after speaking with the victims in the case, “I think the victims are also pretty due to get it resolved after speaking with them.”
Tudor’s attorney said the trial “will probably last several hours” on Friday.

One of those kids that was abused was my youngest child at the time. I got a call one day from the investigators telling me about this and never called or communicated with me at all after the phone call.
