Norma Jean Wilson

GLASGOW – Norma Jean Wilson, 61, died Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Lillie Mae Davis Rice. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two children, Felicia Finn and husband James, and Gordon Childress; nine grandchildren, Chris Jones, Dillian Jones, Makayla Jones, Mahayleia Jones, Serena Finn, Wayne Childress, Shani Childress, Miranda Duncan, and Kyla Childress; one brother, Timmy Riley; three sisters, Peggy Bailey, Bonnie Riley, and Jo Ann Moore; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three sisters, Shirley Rice, Brenda Rice, and Linda Rice; and one brother, Billy Rice.

The family chose cremation with no services scheduled at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

    Norma you were my best friend. I’m really gonna miss you. It don’t seem real. It feels like a nightmare. Your one of a kind. There will never be another you. RIP. I will never forget you. Fly high my friend. You were the best friend I ever had. I love you.

    I just saw this today (1/26/25).
    I’m not really sure exactly how to feel. I would check on norma and her family via fb over the years, even if I never said anything. I know there were some hard feelings but nevertheless, norma was a big part of my life for a long time. She taught me more than she-or I- realized at that point in time. My condolences.
