Sidney “Jam” Maulden

NORTHTOWN – Sidney “Jam” Maulden, age 76, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at TJ Samson Community Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

Jam was born in Westmoreland, Tennessee, but Hart County was the place he called home. He was a loving husband, father, pappy, and friend. He was a simple man saved and baptized in 2009. He enjoyed gardening, camping trips on the river, walking his dog, carpentry, and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jaggers Maulden; daughter, Sandy Maulden Sturgeon; grandson, Timothy Daniel Mattingly; his mother, Mary Hayes; step-father, Charles Hayes; three sisters, Annie Mae Maulden, Gracie Lacy, and Mary “Tiny” Horton; and two brothers, Bobbie “Red” Maulden and Charles “Bubby” Hayes.

He is survived by his granddaughter, Lori Sexton (Joey), of Munfordville; three great-grandchildren, Chandon Sexton, MaKennah Sexton, and Elias Sexton; one brother, Ricky Hayes; two sisters, Lily Spencer and Gail Cross; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Northtown United Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2023 and from 8 AM until time of service Sunday.
